Hi Mike,

It is called evere.co.uk/eaves page   I think,  rather than Eaves but it is the Eaves especially from the Fyle area, but all over the place, you will find lots of interest,

Thanks Jakky - a very info-rich site  :)

Sadly none of the email adresses work, but it seems my Eaves from Preston may descend from a fairly large family based there a century earlier - certainly a lot of pointers to focus my research on  :D

I'd kind of given up on that line for a bit because none of them remained constant in their spelling of the surname!

My website at www.prescot-rollofhonour.info contains information, including a picture, of Thomas Alfred Eaves who was killed in action in Flanders in October 1917.

Annie

Thank you for your kind words, they are really appreciated.

There is still quite a lot of work to be done on the site.

I have now identified four of the men who are on the "Not Identified" page and am just pulling together their stores, and I also have more pictures to load.

In addition, the forthcoming relocation of the BICC Memorial into Prescot Churchyard is the subject of a new article that I am writing for the site.

So keep popping in folks, there's something new every month

Thanks to Stephen for the link to his superb Website.   The Thomas Eaves killed in action in 1917 does not appear to be a close relative of my family but it is an unusual surname so there may well be a family connection there as my research continues.

Kind Regards.
