I was pleased to see your section on family bibles. I have a bible that came into my possession some years ago after the owner died. It belonged to an elderly family friend and I wonder if there are any descendants. It was originally the property of William Henry Crack, born December 5th 1855 and his wife, Louisa Augusta, born March 18th 1861. Their two daughters, Edith Maude and Mildred Annie were friends and colleagues of my mother's family and neither of them married. Their two sons who survived to adulthood were Howard Wilfrid and Leslie Charles. One of these died in the Spanish flu epidemic, but I don't know which one. I am wondering if there are any descendants of the brother who survived, who was estranged from his sisters. If so I should really like to return the bible to its rightful owners.
