OK, thanks.....will have to move on to them soon, they owned the land the airbase was on. I used to play on the runway and in nissan huts......(showing my age now!).

I am looking for information on the Lowry's. Like VictoriaJ i have hit the brick wall. I have John Lowry b. 1820 married Mary Gibson b. 1820, d. 1866.
Daughter Margaret 1838 - 1901 (my great grandmother), son Gibson 1844 - 1901 and daughter Elizabeth.
Some records indicate that the family lived in the Monaghan/Down area. Any help appreciated.

Hallmark,
You posted the following information on 8 January 2009. I think it may well be my GGGF & GGGM - can I ask where the info is from and can I access it ?.  I am catching up....

"1st June 1847  John Lowry (age 75) , 28th March 1847 Mary Lowry (Age 70) burials.
Church of Ireland, Tyholland"

Many regards

They are from Tyholland Church (St Sillian's)  burial records which are held by (St Salvator's) Donagh Church in Glaslough...
