find a marriage

Hi can anyone help me find a marriage between George Corbet and Mary Ann Armstrong,  in 1851 cencus  born Ireland  1929 and spelt Corbitt  the other 1921 and 1911,  i know its the same person as his occupation is the same he was a police officer, his first born was in 1847 in Scotland so maybe married around 1844 1845 so any info how small would be great

First question is what religion were they?
Civil registration of Catholic marriages began 1864 so if they were Catholic there'll be no marriage certificate. Civil registration of other marriages began 1845 which is very close to your estimated date of the marriage so there might or might not be a marriage certificate.
For earlier dates you need to search for church records, if they exist, but to do so you need to know both their religion and where they lived (parish if not actual townland) in order to search for local churches.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
