Help reading a Yorkshire/Durham place name

Can anyone read these place names (apart from Briscoe)?

I think the bottom 2 are the same place.  The top right could be Mearbeck (near Settle) but I'm not 100% convinced.   :-\

Some of the area I'm researching used to be in Yorkshire but is now in Durham.

The last one is West ******* Bank. Do you think it might begin with S?

The enumerator's handwriting is terrible and varies a lot but I've looked on a few pages and it looks like an S.

The first one on the left is Bootham which is in York I think

Maybe they should have had a handwriting test

I'm really stuck on the rest....

I think you are right with Meerbeck.

The only possibility I can come up for the other is Scoon Bank near the Durham Yorkshire border in Teesdale.

Maybe someone else might have an idea?

The West *** Bank?? place is really bugging me.  not sure about Scoonbank, but then again, I've no other alternatives.
