Hi Borri

From the OFHS transcribed prs for Shipton under Wychwood

found this possibility

8 May 1800  Hetty  d/o William & Ann LARDNER of Leafield

There were no other children of William and Ann baptised there.

Pennie, thanks for that link, learn something new everyday :)

Thank you both!
Every bit of info helps, I'm at work now but I will look at that link when I get home.
I have seen Hester/Esters name spelt as Lardner on one occaission.
When she married Francis Norris (transcribed as Morris) she was living in St Giles and I know she had a baby at that time.
After the wedding they moved to Wolvercote (Woolvercott) Francis' home village and a week or so before the baptism of their first child together they baptsed Esters first born, why not do them together? any idea.
Off the top of my head I can't remember Esters first childs name but after the baptism she disappears.
Thanks again, got to do some work, it's a curse.

Hello there, I think we share the same ancestor. Francis & Hester are my Great(x4) Grandparents. Do you know much about Francis' parents, I know they are Francis & Ann, married in Wolvercote in 1787, but beyond that the trail goes very cold. Would be good to make contact anyway, Kind Regards, Steve.

Francis & Hester's children were: Louisa (1827-1839), Sarah (1825), James (1829-1832), William (1831-1831), Lucy (1832-1839), Charlotte (1834), Charles (1836), Elizabeth (1839), Harriet (1841-1841). I hope this helps, I have lots of other detail if interested.

Hi Steve
I have just sent you a reply to Francis Norris.
Would your surname begin with a G by any chance?
We seem to be the only 2 people in England searching this branch of Norris'
If you are who I think you are did I email you Christopher Norris' birth certificate? I received it a few weeks ago, let me know (Pete) Borri.
