Lookup please for Fardell

Hi everyone
I hope someone can help, I have a number of Lincolnshire Fardells that seem to fizzle out around mid eighteenth century and I wonder if they originated in Leicestershire, given that that county was/is where so many Fardells lived.

My Lincolnshire Fardells descending include;
Thomas Jackson Fardell b Spalding Lincs 1856,
-his mother Sarah Fardell (maiden name) b1833/4, her brothers Henry James Fardell b 1828 and Edward Fardell b 1831, all born in Scottlethorpe, near Edenham, Lincs .
Their father was Edward Fardell b 1804, d 1832 (in/around Edenham).
Edward's father was James Fardell b 1768
Edward's father was also James married Susannah Warrington (or Waddington) in 1756.

After this point it all fades out.
Does anyone have any Fardells that moved into Lincs and are associated with the above?

Hi,
I had a look through the IGI online database and there are titbits of information which might be of help to you. For example:

there is a record for a christening of Edward FardEll on 31st Oct 1804 in Edenham, parents James & Sarah FardAll

there is a chr. record for James FardEll on 3rd Jan 1769 in Edenham, parents James & Sussan FardEll

there is a marriage record for James FardEll to Susannah Warrington on 6th Sep 1756 in Edenham

there is also a chr. record for a Sarah FardEll in 1758 in Edenham, parents James & Sussanah (no exact date given)

there is also a marriage record for Sarah FardEll to Thomas Barnes on 10 Jul 1783 in Edenham (could be the same Sarah stated in the chr.record above)

there is also a marriage record for James FardEll to Eleanor Sarah Vickers on 15 May 1797 in Edenham (could be the same James stated in the chr record of 1769)

There doesn't seem to be any death records but there are a lot of Fardells/Fardalls/Fardills in Cambs, just over the border, as well as in Melton Mowbray - the nearest big town to Edenham

It also looks as though there were Fardell connection in Edenham as late as 1885, as the following marriage records show:

Sarah FardEll to James Rutherford Hogg on 24 Dec 1885. Sarahs father is given as Henry James FardEll

Mary Ann FardEll to Abraham Stafford on 18 Oct 1880. Mary Anns father is given as Henry James FardEll

Sarah FardEll to Edward Watts on 26 Sep 1840 (Sarahs father is not stated)

And then there are a load of Fardells on the IOW.
Prehaps you should start a One Named study?

Thanks Nigel, looks as though you were busy.
Many of the Fardells I already know about , however you have given me a couple of new names and marriages for the 1783 & 97 dates.  I have lots of Sarahs at that time so I think Eleanor Sarah Vickers in 1797 is a definate.

Anyway there is certainly some good width to the Lincs Fardells and perhaps I will look further over the borders.
