Hi there!

My grandad Louis was a Bradley in Retford - 1930 -2015
His mother was Amy Kathleen Bradley 1913 - 1997
Her father William Bradley 1865 - 1931
The above from Claters Close area in Retford, I believe
The family also used to live around the Bolham area of Retford
After these, I am still researching because thats as far back as living relatives know
But I am looking at John Bradley 1829 - 1909
Followed by another John Bradley 1786 - no death date

I am aware there are MANY Bradleys in Retford - We had Percival "Pop" Bradley - 1908 - 1993 - Amy's brother. I have found a few possible siblings for them on Ancestry but I only ever knew Pop

I would be fascinated if you have any info on any of them but wouldn't be surprised if your finds are the other Bradleys, there being so many :)
Researching my past
Spare, Bott, Toombs, Neal, Bradley, Tinkler, Spragg, McKenzie

..........................................................................
Yes the Bradley family is huge but I think we are vaguely related. I found Amy and Louis on family search and added them to my tree, so if you look on there you should find a whole load of Bradleys!

I know Claters Close really well as I grew up with my grandparents nearby. According to Family Search, Louis is my 2nd cousin twice removed. I don't remember your family but I'm sure my grandad (who knew everything) would have known - especially if they were living so close.

Anyway, if you'd like to check out the tree on Family Search you'll find I've gone back quite a way. John Bradley 1829 is our common ancester.

John Bradley
1829–Deceased
Married to (22.04.1851)
Ann Nettleship
Female
1834–1918

They had (at least) 10 children. You are descended from William and I am descended from George. There is another lady on this forum who is descended from Thomas.

Anyway, to go back a generation:

John Bradley
1786–Deceased

Married 13 December 1810

Mary Antcliff
1791–Deceased

They had 9 children.

Elijah Bradley
1813–Deceased

George Bradley
1812–Deceased

John Bradley
1817–1824

William Bradley
1817–Deceased

Ann Bradley
1822–Deceased

Mary Bradley
1824–Deceased

Martha Bradley
1827–Deceased

John Bradley
1829–Deceased

Job Bradley
1832–Deceased

I haven't got any further on the Bradley line, but on the Nettleship line there are loads...

So Ann Nettleship descends from:

Thomas Nettleship 1808-1877
Mary Taylor 1809-1874

Ann had 6 siblings that I've found.

Thomas 1808 descends from Thomas Nettleship 1777 and Sarah Nettleship 1781
Mary Taylor descends from John Taylor 1773-1850 and Sarah Meades 1766-1849

That's as far back as I can get at the moment. If you want Ann's siblings as well then please look at the family tree on family search.

My name on family search is Teresa9223 and if you send me a request I'll happily link to you so you can see the tree.

Best wishes
