all i know is what my aunt told me, james macaulay is her dad born around 1915 +/-10 years.
from scotland. glasgow i think,

was going out with my gran agness fogg had 3 kids with her.(he had a wife and kids already, he was a player.)

and when agness died in 1952 he ran to australia.

thats why it is so sketchy..  my aunt she thinks there is a memoey of being told her real dad had died

i have nothing set in stone, im only 25 years old and trying to find this out now, none of it happened in my lifetime, or even close..

sorry just noticed i put in ferguson,. he is not a ferguson, thats my other side of the family, sorry sorry

he is a macaulay

Catherine,
Could you ask your aunt what her dad's mum's name was.
Also what her dad's dad's name was.

she does not know anything more about her dad.  only his name and roughly when he was born and died,

she only knows his name from her birthlines, (since lost cant remember a d.o.b.)

and her family member told her that the dad died in the seventies,

and he did have another family around him, I.E. wife family kids, i dont know if they moved with him or he went alone. i have tried to find family members here with the same name, but none have a
james macaulay that fits the age and posibly movind to australia in the 50s

Catherine I have searched in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia [to 1972] for a death of a James MACAULAY in the 1970's with no result.  Of course he may have died in another state but there are no publicly available records for the 1970's to check.

There is no James MACAULAY shown on the passenger records as an emigrant in the 1950's.  You do however, mention that it is only a possibility that he emigrated to Australia.

I feel that unless we have his full name, date of birth  or names of parents, it is nigh on impossible to find his death registration in the indexes that are available for the 1970's.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help with your quest to find James.

Cheers
Cando
