Hi tessone
You're welcome. It might be an idea to send for certificates in order to make sure. (click on the reference number on the BMD sites to see how to order a certificate).
A marriage certificate gives the names of both fathers plus witnesses - also the address.
A birth certificate will give the father's and mother's names.

From 1911 the name of the mother is also given
I could only see one possibility Laurence Hamer born 1928 mother Middlethwaite?
There could be more but just not on the site
Herbert Jackson born1914 Ernest 1915 Fred 1917 Isabella 1925 - all with mother's surname as Brierley.
