Robert David Corrie went to the Gilbert Islands c. 1859 (born Liverpool, England) and became a Trader. He was a witness at the Proclamation ceremony in 1892.
He married twice and had 6 children to his first wife (she died in childbirth) and 6 children with his second wife. He sent his children to Sydney Australia for their education.
He possibly died c. 1915 but not known if it was in the Gilbert Islands or not.
