Hi All
Had a breakthru this afternoon.
Found Archibold Henry,Nancy Henry, Daughter Sarah J, aged 4 and Rosanna Donnelly, Step Daughter aged 11, all born in Ireland.
This information is in the 1881 census for Gateshead,Durham, as found on Durham requests.
Mystery now is who is Rosanna Donnelly as Nancy,s maiden name was Neill in the marriage of
30 May 1870.
Possibly this query is more suited to Tyrone. No sign of the family in England in 1891 census ,so presumed having returned to Tyrone.
On reading his obituary in the Mid Ulster Mail again I find that two preachers took part, one at the house,a Rev Clinton ,who in fact was the Methodist Minister in Cookstown, and Rev Young at the graveside in Kildress, the rector of that parish. So Archie must have attended the Methodist Church after returning from England.
Thanks
Curley
