Thomas Hurd
« on: Tuesday 18 November 08 20:11 GMT (UK) »
I am searching for the death of Thomas HURD, of Belle Vue area of Wakefield.
In 1841 this is where his wife is living as Independent Means on census.
He was alive in 1831, (son born in 32)
I have sent for certs from 1837 ... nothing to match
I have various parish records... nothing '
Please advise me how to proceed. :-\ :-\

I wonder if you remember me...we corresponded some years ago re Charles Hurd whose father was Thomas. Since that time I have found out a little bit more, nothing absolutely specific. I think Thomas could have been a horse dealer. I don't have my records in front of me at the moment, but I think I found him in business in Aughton with his son. I believe he went bankrupt. I did wonder if he ended up in prison or went abroad.
Let me know what you think. I'm presently trying to get my other trees together. Found interesting information on my father's side, also whalers on my mothers living in Hull, together with a couple of well known artists also from hull.
