:'(  Maths never was my subject!!

Henry and Bridget being parents to William (and maybe George!)
And bro-in-law Patrick made his mark when he registered the death.
But what I've looked at so far, McGhee seems to be a very popular name in Ayrshire.

Genealogists don't die, they just lose their census.

to Dave & Pete and everyone else interested in 213 Stirling road Glasgow,
I am new at this site so hope this presents okay.     I have a letter from my 3x great grandmother written  in 1860 to her daughter in Australia.  The address written on the letter is 213 Stirling Road Glasgow.    It was from Margaret and Norman McLeod ( very common Scot name - Norman McLeod I mean)  to their daughter Elizabeth McLeod.   I actually have several copies of letters to Elizabeth from her mother and sister.    Dorliz

Dorliz, what a co-incidence!
So young George McGhee had just been born when that letter was written from the proprty he'd be living in 40 years later.

Hello, This is also my family history. My grandmother was Mary Cameron nee Mcghee married Donald Campbell of Oban in Australia in 1920. I have letters regarding the property at Gilminscroft Sorn Aryshire regarding Margaret Cameron the wife of John McGhee's first wife, George Mcghee parents. John Mcghee married twice, second wife I think was Janet Maxwell. I think you will find that Donald Campbells blacksmith shop was in Port Appin neat the Port Appin Hotel. I have lots of information all of these people. I would be happy to give you what I can. email me on (*) or (*)
