Harrington & Noble marriage...
« on: Saturday 15 November 08 17:41 GMT (UK) »
I have been tearing my hair out trying to find a marriage for my gt nan, Clara Harrington who married ?? (not sure of 1st name) Noble.  Not sure when either, my nan was born 1919 so we are looking before then and her birth was registered in Kingston upon thames, so it will hopefully be around that area.  I have tried all i can think of, i am hoping a more experienced family researcher can help me out!!

many thanks in advance

kerry x

Hi

Was your gran their first born child or did she have older siblings as that can help determine a possible marriage year?

There is a birth on freebmd for Maisie Noble in 1912 in Camberwell - mothers maiden name Harrington

Freebmd has a 1905 marriage entry which includes a Charles Edward Noble and an Elizabeth Harrington in Southwark

Could that be a possibility?

Maisie was her sister, so she can't have been the youngest child, i really don't have a lot of info to go on, I just know that clara harrington married ? noble!

Hi

So we know they were married before 1912 - were there any children older than Maisie?

Are you absolutely sure her name was Clara and not Elizabeth?

Is it Clara on your grans birth cert?

Hi

See my reply above re: the 1905 entry - it just seems to be the likeliest one
