Mabel Ettles
« on: Saturday 15 November 08 06:46 GMT (UK) »
Looking for a Mabel Ettles, born around 1920, probably in the Grange area.  Daugther to Adam George MacIntosh (born 13/10/1900, Oakenknowles, Grange - died 09/1981 Queanbeyan, Canberra, Australia).

We believe Mabel was Adam's daugther out of marriage, as he married Mary-Jane Milne Morrison in 1923.

Mabel, marriage a Webster and we think died in 2006 in Dundee.

Kind regards

Ian

Hi Ian,

I think this is the birth you are looking for:

Mabel Ettles, b. 1920 in Fetteresso in Kincardineshire

The certificate can be ordered through http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk at a cost of £10. If her parents weren't married, Adam may not be mentioned on the birth certificate.

If you are looking for any of Mabel's family, it may be worth trying recent electoral rolls for the area she died. We can't post about living relatives here, but http://www.192.com has both them and directory enquires for Scotland.

Hi Paula

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

According to his profile, Ian hasn't been online here since May 2009.

If he has changed his email address or switched off his notifications, he won't know we have posted on his topic.

Fingers crossed.

Dawn
