Hi

Thank you Betty for the information on William. I have information on Sarah Mercy STREETER and Annie STREETER in New Zealand. Interested to hear from anyone with has information on the other siblings: Kezia Ann, Jane Maria and William Randall.

Richard STREETER died in 1875 and Kezia STREETER nee RANDALL in 1854 in Nelson, New Zealand.

As Richard was a farm labourer I assume that the family moved around for work and that is why Annie is registered in BLEAN not Canterbury.

It is interesting that they immigrate via Lyttleton, in Canterbury, New Zealand and settle in Christchurch or the Nelson areas of New Zealand.

Cheers Helen

Hi Helen
My Gr. Gr Grandmother was Jane Maria Streeters,
Jane Married Frederic Millard on the 28.9.1861 at Wiemar West,Frederic lived at Wiemar West, Nelson.
Frederic came from Palmerston in Somerset, England.he came on the ship Cashmere in 1859
Jane and Frederic had 9 children and they also help raise Frederic's brother Samuel Millard's children after his wife died.
Jane and Frederic's youngest daughter was born with Downers Syndrome, but they did not put her into a home, she was a much loved child of the family.
My Gr Grandfather was their eldest child Walter, Edwin Millard.
Frederic  met with a tragic accident and drowned in the WA-Ito River at Wiemar West on the 9.4.1896 and is buried in the Family Plot at St. Michaels Church Wiemar West
Jane Maria died on the 2.9.1907.
I have more info if you would like it.
I would also be interested in information on any other members of the Streeters family.
Thanks
Ruth

I have extensive Streeter family from Kent Co, Michigan and i can trace the Streeter line back to Stephen Streeter born 1600 in Goudhurst, Kent, England. He came to the US before 1640 when he married Ursula Adams in Massachusetts. His father was also Stephen born in 1572 Goudhurst, Kent, England and died there in 1616. I assume his son then left for Massachusetts shortly after that. I hope to get back to my England roots soon, I'm working on the Sicilian part now  ;D

Hello - this is my first time using this site so hope I'm doing it right.

My husband is descended from Richard and Keziah, by their daughter Kezia(h) - he is her Great Great Grandson.

I would be very interested in finding out more about her siblings.

I have most of Keziah's family, she was married 3 times and had children with each husband (we are related by her 2nd marriage to Thomas Wylie/Woolley McKenzie).

I have a photo of Keziah and would be interested if anyone else had photos of their Streeter lines.

Kind regards
Elizabeth

Hi
I'm also researching Keziah Ann Streeter who married Charles Edward George Wootton (my husband is related via Charles half brother).
I have found it interesting to come across the references to Keziah's mother having the maiden name Rendall/ Randell as Keziah Ann & Charles had a son and called him William Rundle Wootton (he, in turn, called his son Alfred Rundle Wootton). Perhaps this could lead to finding a baptism record for Keziah senior?? I haven't had any luck yet but as more records keep getting added, who knows when one might come up.
I would also be interested in getting the details of Keziah Streeter's death as I can only find the death & burial for Richard in 1875.
Happy researching to all, Cheryl Wootton

There is a baptism for a Keziah RANDALL in Ickham (not that far from Canterbury) 13 May 1810 http://www.familysearch.org which may be worth investigating.

There is a birth record (7 July 1811) for a Richard Streeter in Harbledown, on the other side of Canterbury from Ickham but a neighbouring parish to St Dunstan.  ???

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NJMT-YV3

Further information following on from Casalguidi’s posting.

Baptisms in Ickham

Sarah d/o Thomas & Mary RANDALL 12 January 1806
Maria Ann d/o Thomas & Mary RANDLE 28 March 1807
Thomas s/o Thomas & Mary RANDLE 13 November 1807
Keziah d/o Thomas & Mary RANDALL 13 May 1810
William s/o Thomas & Mary RANDALL 5 April 1812

One baptism in  Littlebourne

Mary d/o Thomas & Mary RENDALL 15 April 1804

A marriage in Ickham

Thomas RENDAL (of Littlebourne) Mary MEASDAY (otp) B 15 October 1803
Witnesses Thos Measday Ann Twyman

Adding to the marriage of Richard Streeter and Kezia Rendell in 1837 the witnesses were Sarah RENDELL (sister ?) and George Prior.  ???  ???

Now a small leap with the family.  There are the following Parish Register entries which could be the Randalls.  ???

All in St Peter Parish, Canterbury.

Baptism

Henry s/o Thomas & Mary RANDALL 12 June 1814, St Peter’s Lane, Miller

Then burials as follows:-

Henry Randall 9 May 1815 (11 months) St Peter’s Lane
Mary Randall 12 May 1815 (11 years) St Peter’s Lane
Maria Randall 9 June 1815 (8 years) St Peter’s Lane
Thomas Randall 12 April 1826 (48 years) St Mary Northgate

For Helen13 (You may already have this)  ???
I have found a likely baptism record for Ann Streeter in the Parish of Bridge.
The date was 18 February 1879 Ann d/o Richard & Kezia STREETER.  Richard was said to be a Labourer and the family from Harbledown.  However, the reason the baptism took place elsewhere, was that the family was in the Union House, which happens to be in Bridge!

I leave all this information, for those of the family, to decide on whether or not it fits in with their research.   ???

Regards,
Tony :)

Hi Tony

I have been reviewing my information on the Streeter family. I do not have a baptism record for Ann STREETER. Can I get you to recheck the year please as in 1879 Ann STREETER is in New Zealand with her parents and married.
Very many thanks for all the information that you have posted.

Cheers Helen
