I was interested to pursue Sarah Rendall, the sister of Keziah Streeter, nee Rendall, because she witnessed the wedding on March 24 1837. I found a marriage for a Sarah Rendell to William Amos in 1843, certificate Canterbury 5  83  1843(March); luckily there was one tree on Ancestry, viz. "The Big Kent Tree" which had William Amos, and that simplified my search, but the link to Keziah was not on it. So William and Mary had two children:- William Randall Amos (1845) and Catherine Ann Amos (1846), but in the 1851 census they were being looked after by their aunt Frances Jordan, the sister of William. Neither Sarah nor William Sr. are in the 1851 census, though a William Amos aged 59 (should be 39) was lodging in Canterbury, a widower, so Sarah had probably died, but there is no certificate (and I tried a general scan of all death certificates in Canterbury from 1846 to 1851). William Amos appears again in 1861 re-married to Eliza Cullen, nee Ansley (1821-1870) with her child Sarah Ann Cullen (1850).
For the children they are in the 1861 census, and William is next door to his adoptive parents; Catherine is a domestic nearby. After that William may have moved to Minster, Thanet, and stayed a bachelor, dieing in 1906, but he never used the "Randall" again, making identification dicey. Catherine Ann disappears from the record, and is not on any tree on Ancestry, so I'm stuck. Did she go to New Zealand ??
At least we have a scenario for Keziah's sister; I have ordered Sarah's marriage certificate to confirm her father.
Regards
David.

Hi David,
I have been able to find the marriages of Sarah RENDALL to William AMOS and William AMOS to Eliza CULLEN.

The first marriage took place on 28th January 1843 at the Parish church of St Mary Bredin, Canterbury, Kent.
The second marriage took place on 11th September 1859 at the Parish church of St Mildred, Canterbury, Kent.

I have not had much luck with finding Catherine AMOS. I think that she may have been baptised in St Mary Bredin on 3rd March 1850.

Now to the Streeter Family:
Richard STREETER looks to be the child of Richard STREETER and Sarah BENNETT. Their marriage is on familysearch.org website as 13 October 1806 in Thanington, Kent, England. Looking at the image they married by Banns and signed by their marks. One of the witnesses is an Elizabeth BENNETT.
It is interesting to also note that the minster was W. BENNETT.

Richard STREETER and Sarah BENNETT had 11 children. They are buried in St Nicholas Hospital Church in Harbledown Kent, England and according to find a grave website there is a headstone.

Cheers Helen
