Ah  Val Sybil and Matt ...thank you so much for posting those
... a  poignant day for so many of us ...
That was  a lovely thing to say too Matt ..
looks like you were adopted by a lot of ladies there !!
;)   I'm  sure there will be more meetings in the future ...
Maybe we'll try for a warmer season  though next time ;)
I  suspect that the bonds forged on meetings like this will be true and long lasting .. Thanks everyone for posting ..cheers

Hi Prophetess,

Is that a picture of Strathclyde fire brigade on the march? My Dad was marching but unfortunately we couldn't make it to see him. Do you have any more of them?

I was feeling a bit shy and thought that perhaps a "new start" like myself would be a bit lost amongst you RC vets but looking at the pictures I realize now I should of come. Perhaps next year.

Lucy,
you'd be very welcome.

Newbe or not.

To be honest, I don't think many of us spent too much time talking about family research.  OK, that's the common interest if all else fails.

If you like good company and a good laugh, make a point of joining us next year.

Louise, Have you got anything to say?  as an exprienced newb.

Big PS

Why does it have to be once a year?

I'd be very happy to do something much more often with you guys.

Maybe we should get away from calling it "The Glasgow Meet" or "The York Meet".

How about calling it "The UK Meet"?

Everybody is welcome, so maybe the title seems exclusive?

Dave

pps
sallysmum   you can come too! :)
