Burial Index's for Newbattle and Newton

My connection isn't direct but the families were all intermingled. I haven't looked at that part of my tree for years, but now I find a dilemma. I've found 2 possible deaths for Rosy Brown/Peacock. Can you send me an email so I can share it with you and maybe you can figure it out.

Not sure if you are still doing lookups or how far back they go for newton, but would be interesting in the following names

John Reid and his wife Janet Reid (m.s Stevenson)

there children are:

Barbra born 1760 - inveresk with musselburgh
Janet  born 1761 - newton
Margaret  born 1764 - newton
William born 1766 - newton
marjory born 1769 - newton
robert  born 1771 - newton
jean born 1773 - newton
John born 1778 - newton

anything on them too would be great. Obviously the females may of married so those may not be found.

I looked all those up in the Newton index & there were none that matched the DOB etc. But then there are some individuals who's name is just listed and nothing else. There is also a huge chunk of  burials missing between around 1800-1805 or so. If you have more information ie. were they a mining family, did they move to Newbattle & what the daughters married names were I might be able to help more. If you do please PM me. Thanks

Margaret Reid, died April 1766 in Newton, daughter of John Reid
Janet Reid, died March 1769, in Newton daughter of John Reid
John Reid, died Dec 12 1831 in Claybarns, father of John Reid

There are lots more but without more information, hard to tell if they are yours or not. Reid was a common name.

Would there be any record of a Rev. David Gilchrist (1721-1770) who may have died while at that charge?

Hello; Just new to RC.  Seeking info from Burial Index for William Ramage d 1854 & his wife Jean (Jane) Irvine Ramage d 1860.  Both death records state Newbattle Cemetery.  Can anyone assist me with a look up?  Thank you :-)
