City of London Cemetery Records

Hi, does anyone know what has happened to the City of London burial index site which had some burial records available to browse, I keep getting the page not available message, although I only used it a month or so ago.  Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply Dawn, this link does lead to the page I was looking for - http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/burialRegisters/default.aspx - but when you click on . it says page cannot be found yet they were there a few weeks ago.  I suppose it could be routine maintenance or they have realised they could be charging for viewing these pages (a bit cynical on my part I suppose).  I might give it a couple of weeks and if they are not back I will email the City of London, there is a long list of contacts but not sure which one is relevant.  Thanks again for your reply.  Best Wishes.

Just realised what's been happening, a lot of their pages have disappeared over the last couple of weeks.

I asked them about another page which had gone.

The IT dept has been upgrading online resources and I suggest that a link is now broken to the images.

Don't wait for a few more weeks, send them an email straight away to explain your problem, I followed a contact link to

payments.enquiries at cityoflondon.gov.uk  replace at with @

and used 'Web error' in the subject line

I got an almost instant response, if you send it to the LMA enquiries team you won't hear for about 2 weeks as they treat everything in strict receipt order.

The link may still be broken but the images can be obtained if you follow the 'search online' option at the bottom of the page
