Lunphinnans Address
« on: Monday 10 November 08 15:26 GMT (UK) »
William Penman (41) and his family  - Nessman on A*y - were living at 33, Stone Ra??,  Lumphinnans in 1861.

What will the word after Stone be, please?   I don't think it is Road.

you need to give a reference to the census. can't find which one you mean by Nessman?

SP has 2 families putting in Williams details - 1 in Auchterderran - 25 west Bell and 1 in Kinglassie.

My apologies for any confusion - it was the 1861 Census
A*y as below:-  Source Citation: Parish: Ballingry; ED: 2; Page:  5; Line: 13; Roll: CSSCT1861_53; Year: 1861.

However I used SP and I was trying to read the image on that.  I'm not sure now whether SP had transcribed Penman  correctly.   I'd like to avoid someone necessarily having  to view SP if at all possible.

I supposed (hoped?) that someone may know Ballingry well and   .  .

My regards

On SP
Look for 1861 Census
Name is William Periman    (Note spelling i.e not Penman  :))
Age is 41
They are in Ballingry Fife

Should be 6 in the family

Thanks for that Helen.
For that era Row does sound more normal than Road
