I'll pop into Wistow on Tuesday and do a search for them ;) Last time I went, the church wasn't open, but I'll see if I can get in for pictures at the same time.  Happy to look for anyone in Selby, too. Jacky

Thank you hadenmaiden,
Please let us know if you manage to get in the church. It would be lovely to see if there is anything inside the church to do with the Storr's

I had a good old tramp around Wistow church yard today - not good news, I'm afraid.  :(   There are a lot of weather-beaten older headstones which are completely illegible.  Amongst thos that I could read, I didn't see any older Storrs. There are two Storr headstones which are easily discernable - Charles James, who died 1994 aged 72 and Ellen & Charles who died in 1964 and 1972 respectively, aged 74 & ?84  I have photographs of these, along with a general picture of the church & churchyard, if either are of any interest.  The church itself was again locked up - I suspect that your best bet to get inside would be around service times on a Sunday.  Sorry, it's not better news, Jacky

Hi Mike
I managed to get to Wistow when I was last down and have to agree with Hadenmaiden the older graves are in a very poor state. I too was unable to get in, was very disappointed as a local we saw said they knew who had a key to the church and if we waited they would come straight back with it. We waited for over 45 mins but they never came back. So we are still none the wiser. If theres anyone local who can try the church again that would be lovely.....
