Hi I to have James Storr 1801-1856 wife Jane 1796-1845 in my tree. There son Robert Storr 1825-1862 wife Matilda are my husbands greatx3 grand parents I am trying to find out if they are burried in Wistow. Any help would be great. As I live too far away... thanks

              Been looking at your storrs in my storr file. and we are related with common ancestor william storr .christened
 may 1st 1827.died 1899.wistow. his son thomas born 1865
 died 1931. married in my family.have lots of information on
 your james storr who married jane browm in 1824in wistow.
jane was born in 1794.she died on may 30th 1845 in wistow.she was buried IN THE CHURCHYARD,
 Sons Robert Storr christened march 7th 1825.he died feb 1862.he married Maitilda Fryer,who was the daughter of Thomas Fryer and Ann,in 1847.Malilda was born in 1827.christened feb 5th 1827 selby.
in 1865 Maitilda remarred.was now living in micklegate selby.
 in 1881 she is now in leeds,

Hi Mike, thanks for the information. I seem to be on the right lines I have Matilda in Leeds in 1881 with her second husband William Walton. My husband is related through Robert and Matilda's daughter Annie Storr born 10th May 1857. I don't know very much about James and Jane Storr so I'm very grateful for your help....

 august 6th 1797.who married jane brown.
 Rpbert storr was christened on mar 5th 1755 in Wistow. he was buried on oct 5th 1836 in ALL SAINTS CHURCHYARD.
 WISTOW.YORKSHIRE.
Robert first married Sarah ,she died in 1809 buried feb 4th.
 children.
     Elijah storr.was  christened on feb 21st 1778 in wistow
    he married Hannah Morfitt on dec 18th 1804 in wistow
Hannah was born in 1779 in wistow.
 William storr was born in 1780
 Hannah storr was born in 1784
 John storr was born in 1786.
 Robert storr was christened on jan 16th 1789 in wistow.
 Thomas storr was born in 1791
  Sarah storr was born in 1793 in wistow .christened on
  jan 27th 1793 wistow
 Sarah married George Corners on mar 5th 1815 in selby
  Edward storr was christened april 26th 1795
 James Storr was christened on aug 6th 1797. he died on dec 9th 1856.
  Robert married wife number two. Sarah BAINS. on may 14th
  1811 in wistow.sarah was christened in 1761.she died in 1845 in wistow.
  Edward storr married Hannah Leaf on nov 29th 1820
 in selby yorkshire.Hannah was born in 1795 in Howden,
 yorkshire.

Wow thank you soooo much. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. I'm planning a trip to Yorkshire in the summer with the family. Now I know for sure a trip to Wistow is a must. I think a grave hunt is in order..

                  Thats okay.do not mind helping.as storrs are part of my family.you can return the favour.by getting a picture of wistow church inside for me . as belive some storrs are mention in there been told. the church as been locked twice when have visited with my brother and sister.
 did ask the church warden to pass information .but sadly he never got back to me.as i live in suffolk will be a while before back that way. enjoy yourself .
