Thanks, I got the birth certificate yesterday and it is yet another dead end

Funnily enough on the birth certificate the father did the same job, "Dock labourer" but unfortunately it wasn't unusual around that area as it was right next to docklands.
Because Scott was such a common name I am not sure where to look now.
Update:
I have now found him on the WW1 pension records by matching the address on his marriage certificate. He was born in November 1898 according to the dates on the records, I've had another look at the birth certificates I ordered and the closest one was October

which I guess means he wasn't born in London.
