Easton Family
« on: Friday 07 November 08 07:06 GMT (UK) »
I can trace my Easton family back to early 1700's when Robert Easton married Christian Murray in Wilton.  Is anyone else researching this family?

I am currently researching the family and descendents of James Easton b1773 and Isabella Murray b 1777.  Both buried Ewes Parish Cemetery.

Hi Porrich,
I don't have a James on my tree, do you know who his parents were?

I believe his father was George Easton b 1750 Westerkirk, Dumfries, son of William Easton  and Agnes Murray of Langholm, Dumfries.  I am also interested in finding more information regarding family and descendents of Fergus Murray b 1747 in Riddings(near Longtown) and Christian (maybe Jane) Ballantine.

Thanks for looking,  Correction: Spouse should have been Catherine Ballantyne not Christian or Jane.

This probably has no use to you, but there are still Easton's living in ashkirk, I think the father passed a few years back, but the mother, son and daughter-in-law are still there, the family have lived there for decades.

They used to live at wester essenside farm, but live further up the road now.

Good Luck.
