Hi shilo, Census 1861 shows Hughs mother frances living with him, daugs, & eliza. wheatley & son of 2yrs. whether something happened to Mary Ann wife 2yrs previous ? census 1851 Hughs mother frances was living with 2 sons Thomas b.1803, & John b. 1808 plus wife margaret, at walk Mill green. Did check 1851 -61 for death of mary ann, but nothing. Found Hughs baptism in parish records Wolsingham, Aug 7th 1822 son of Frances & william couldnt make out his profession, but you probably knew all this anyway?

Thanks a lot Ruby.  No I didn't know all of that.  I'm trying to contact Elizabeth Blacketts relatives, my grand fathers sister.  She was born in 1876  both were born in the work house at Stanhope.  Their family name is collinson.
