I have been a member of Genes for nearly two years but must confess to be getting more and more disallusioned with them as I have a list of complaints, one being lack of response from them.

Hi all, just to add my 2penarth. I've been on there for about 9months. It has been both rewarding and frustrating at same time. When people dont reply to queries,(usually because they have given up with site and left) & you know they have a vital link, then it is a pain.
On the other hand I have made some great discoveries on there  &  met some good folks.
On balance,worth sticking it out.

Hi everyone, I"m very new to this site and  feel I must say how brilliantly friendly and helpful everyone is.
As for GenesReunited, I have mixed feelings. Some of the people I have contacted have been polite & friendly & others have been down right  rude. I have had  2 separate replies which I feel were particularly undeserved. No.1- "This is not my ancestor", No.2- "Not in my tree". I dont know why some people take this attitude. Surely they would expect a civil reply if they were to e-mail you or I  with a query.
Anyway, you folks on this site are brilliant & I found you by accident!!!!
                    Regards,Viv!
