From dead to living relatives?
« on: Sunday 02 November 08 21:16 GMT (UK) »
Just found information on relatives born in early 1900's.  How do I find out if one of their descendents are living?  They were born in Edmonton district.

Hi there

Unfortunately Rootschat may not be the place to find out as there is a clearly defined policy on tracing the living here

However, you should try to go through the marriage indexes to see if they married, then look through birth indexes to see if they had any children. Finally go through the death indexes to see if or when they died.

Apart from that, the 1911 census is due out soon.

You could also try electoral rolls.

Even historic telephone directories are now online for some areas.
