arthur barker was born in 1864 in saffron walden essex,but I dont know when he married Mary Adelaide yeo. I know Artur's father was Martin Barker.Arthur and Mary had about six Children who I am interested in can you help thanks Mudrick

drip-feeding the info out like this over a series of posts is causing people to use time and resources to no avail.

Please could you outline all you know.

I'm guessing as you havent mentioned it that the Arthur I found in the 1871 census is wrong as his father was a John ?


So where did you get the father Martin's name if you dont have Arthurs marriage Cert ?

I suspect that you have your Arthurs and Alfreds mixed up - remember that NJ found the probable marriage of an Alfred Barker to Ms Yeo in 1887, Poplar (covers Bromley by Bow)

However ....


that Alfred is still at home with parents in 1891, a single man ... so he's eliminated and not the Alfred who married Ms Yeo in 1887.

Martin is now a Carman, and Alfred a Coach Builders Labourer.

Given the oldest kids ages and PoBs, I'd say this was the couple who married in 1887  ... its not the Alfred whose father was Martin, and its not the Arthur we originally looked at !


BUT it has the Bromley / Bow link you mentioned

Unfortunately I think I may have the wrong arthur barker,I'm not sure if he had a middle name as he only signs it arthur barker his wifes name was Mary Adelaide Yeo before they were married and they lived in West Ham and then Leytonstone in later years.So if any one can find the arthur barker I'm looking for it would be great.He was something to do with a brush company thanks

My posting from 5 November has a Mary Adelaide Yeo marrying in 1887; possible groom  Alfred Barker............not Arthur Barker.

That is the only marriage shown for a Mary Adelaide Yeo on Free BMD (up to 1930).
