Lawford, Essex

Anyone living near the Chelmsford RO please can someone look up a marriage of Henry Day to Jane Kerry registered Tendring in June qtr 1857 it maybe Lawford or Manningtreee.
Also marriage of John Kerry to Mary Ann Durrant or Banbury registered Tendring Dec qtr 1840, it is not Lawford so may be Manningtree as that is where Mary Ann was born.
Any help would be appreciated.  Kerry sometimes shown as Carey.

Unless you know the name of the church where they were married it is not possible to obtain the details you want from parish records.    The only other alternative is to buy a copy of their marriage certificate

I don't know whether this is of any help to you but I found Jane on the 1841 census mis-transcribed as HERRY.  Image is clearly Kerry

Thank you Carole, Jane on the 1841 was born 1813, I have that one thank you.  I live in Merseyside so have no access to Essex records.  I am hoping someone can find which churches where in that area to look up the quarter.  I know Lawford had St Mary's.  Will check Manningtree on Google and get back to you.

There is a St Mary and St Michael C of E at Manningtree, that maybe worth a look in the appropriate qtr.  It is unfortunate that the Essex parish records are not on the IGI it would have made searching a lot easier.

Thank you Carole, Jane on the 1841 was born 1813,

That was her mother but on the 1861 census with her husband Henry Day - Jane is shown as b Lawford 1836 which fits the 5 year old Jane on the same 1841 entry

re 1861 I have Henry Day with wife Jane born in Lawford.
 Ref RG9/1096 folio 125 pg 3. They are in Wignall St, Lawford with more of the family in the same road.
I believe the Lawford and other Essex records  are held at Chelmsford RO only, do you have access to that office.

I think the 1841 entry I quoted is Jane with her parents in Essex
