Hi Bob
My grandfather was a patient in Storthes Hall in the early part of the 20th century. Any chance of you adding a copy of the postcard to this website? And what's a pm??

The  website www.urbexforums.co.uk    has lots of old and new Storthes Hall pics under asylums - even some with staff in.

Hi guys,

Do we know that this Beatrice was definitely buried? 1947 is quite feasible as a year where cremation is a possibility?
 Just a thought.....

Regards,
Peter.

Edit: I've noticed also that most people were cremated at Lawnswood Crematorium, Leeds round that time. Before the opening of Park Wood at Elland and the Huddersfield Crematorium.

Hi,

I discovered recently on the 1911 Census that my Grandmother, Frances Cornwell (aged 19), and her older sister, Florence Cornwell (aged 25), were working as nurses at Storthes Hall.

Bob, I'd be very interested to see the postcard you mentioned you had of the asylum and any photographs from that time. Now, if I could just get hold of a photo of Grandma at work,............?

Best regards,
Phil
