Surname Marriage
« on: Monday 27 October 08 11:39 GMT (UK) »
Hello all

I was wondering if anybody can assist me? If a wife's record in BMD is say Ogden, but has been married before - will it show the name at her birth or her 1st married name?  If this makes sense!!

Thanks

Bri

Bri,

I believe it would depend on whether you were looking at the B, M or D. If B then it would be her maiden name. If at M and before her marriage to you then her married name at that time.
