Hello Paula

Is your offer of assistance in the Gateshead Fell area still on?

I am researching my family (Robson). In St John's at Gateshead Fell there is a Robson family plot and I would love some photos of the headstones. Unfortunately I have no family left in Gateshead that I know (or know of for that matter). All my Robsons came from around Gateshead (me too!) back to c.1850 and Chester-le-Street before that.

We moved to Australia when I was 8.

I can provide you with loads of info. My e-mail is *

Regards

Hi MIS we are not local but a lot of our folks came from Eighton Banks & Wrekenton. There was a Boys&Girls Infant School on Wrekenton Rd/High St and one of our folks was the caretaker in 1871 & 1881.
She was Sarah Gildart & was buried in St Thomas's 2nd July 1884.
Our Robsons were also in Windy Nook by the Bay Inn/Bayhorse Inn. &
24,Eighton Terrace & 22 Longbank. I have no idea whats still standing!!
Thanks

If the offer is still there, I would love to know if there is a gravestone for my 3x great grandparents, John and Dorothy Bowsfield/Bousfield/Busfield/Bushfield, in St John's Gateshead Fell. Dorothy died in 1846 and John in 1850. I have completed write-ups on both and will try to attach Dorothy's here but John's is 88MB and therefore too big a file. I aim happy to share it if anyone knows of a method to swap e-mail addresses?
Best regards
Kathy

The original poster of this offer has not been on rootschat for some years now so I have locked it and will move it to the Completed board to avoid people being disappointed that there is no response..
