Thank you so much  :D
Unfortunately Ancestry is not an option for me. Due to years of mismanagement the South African economy has gone to pot, so our currency has tanked so the exchange rate makes it unfordable for a student.

Thank you once again, have a great day ;D

Barwell's Bastardy cases would be heard in the Market Bosworth petty sessional hearings you are likely to find reports online in the newspapers ( FindMyPast)

You could search for the Hinckley Times ( not sure what date that paper started) but that is the local for the area.
Coventry Times (1855-1879)
Leicester Chronicle (1827-1900)
Coventry Herald (1824-1892)
Tamworth Herald (1870-1950)

Eg For the Leicester Chronicle

Duncan Bennie:
Micheal Bates married Sophia Cross on 12/8/1826 Barwell. On 1861 Census Micheal was born 1802 Nottingham and Sophia was born 1807 Barwell. Micheal's was working as a labourer. There wer two more children to add to the list you previously gave John born 1844 Barwell and Catherine born 1848 Barwell.
