HENRY AUSTEN ESQ of this Parish died deeply lamented by all who knew him 30th Nov 1786 aged 51
FRANCES ANNE BEDFORD daughter of ROBERT and FRANCES ANNESLEY AUSTEN and widow of the honorable JOHN BEDFORD Judge of the Vice Admiralty Court in the Island of Barbadoes died 28th March 1808 on her passage to England aged 28 leaving issue two infant sons EDWARD HENRY and PAUL AUSTEN BEDFORD

This tablet is erected as a tribute of parental conjugal & filial sorrow to the memory of FREDERICK LEWES AUSTEN who died at Brighton on the 16th Dec 1868 aged 55. As a son a brother or a friend and in every relationship of life few families could claim a worthier member for prompted by kind & generous feelings he was ever ready to impart to others the benefit of his counsel or his means and whilst all belonging to him willingly acknowledge his many amiable qualities when on earth yet the good acts of his too short life were only fully revealed when he had ceased to live

ANNE AMELIA LADY AUSTEN died at Dieppe Normandy on her return from the Pyrenees, to the baths of which she had recourse for the recovery of her health. 5th September 1837 aged 53. Her remains are deposited in the family vault beneath

FRANCES ANNESLEY widow of the late ROBERT AUSTEN ESQ daughter and heiress of WENTWORTH and FRANCES GREGORY and nearest lineal descendant of the Right Honorable Sir JOHN THOMPSON BARONET first baron Haversham by the LADY FRANCES ANNESLEY daughter of ARTHUR ANNESLEY died 12th February 1845 aged 97 years
ELIZABETH SMITH AUSTEN only surviving daughter of ROBERT and FRANCES ANNESLEY AUSTIN died 14th February 1845 aged 61 years
"Awaiting now in hope the awful day when Christ returns to judge the world - the day of judgement - greatest day past or to come day of eternal gain for worldly loss day of eternal loss for worldly gain"
This tribute to the memory of a beloved mother and amiable sister is dedicated by HENRY EDMUND AUSTEN

To the memory of LIEUTENANT COLONEL HENRY EDMUND AUSTEN for many years an officer in the 71st Highland Light Infantry and a County Magistrate in Sussex who died at St Brelands in the Island of Jersey August 27th 1868 aged 59 years leaving a father a widow and 3 children to lament their untimely loss

JOHN AUSTEN ESQ of Shalford was returned to Parliament for Guildford in 1563 to which town he was a benefactor and died in 1613
GEORGE AUSTEN his brother having represented Haslemere in Parliament in 1597 and Guildford in 1603 died in 1621
JOHN AUSTEN his grandson died in 1705
ROBERT AUSTEN his son and heir having for many years filled the office of a Lord Commissioner of the Admiralty died in 1718
GEORGE AUSTEN his brother died in 1728

The remains of whom successively rectors impropiate of Shalford and Bramley lie buried in the chapel vault of this church
