so when did Kates parents die? i was wodnering if the children were taken on by other family members if they couldhavebeen enumaratoed under the other family members names but te p.o.b. is a problem

i wonder if John (father) could not afford to keep the youngsters and went into the workhouse as a last resort ? after having placed his children elsewhere ?

perhaps the workhouse records and also the parish poor relief / poor rates records will help you.
