Burial Records for Bilston

I have been researching my family tree and found quite a number of relatives have died in Bilston.  Just wondering if there is anyone online or anyway of finding out where they might be buried?

Thanks emgee for your help. Your link is for the cemetary registers, and being in Australia, I have no idea as to even which cemetery they would be buried in. I know where they lived from the various census records -

1861 Caledonia Street (Hartill's)
1861 Mount Pleasant (Town's)
1871 Bridge Street (Town's)
1881 Market Street Bilston (Town's)

from what I can tell fro maps I've looked at, all these streets appear to be close to each other.
Can anyone tell me what cemetery they may have been buried in?

The main Bilston Cemetery opened in 1855.  The burials registers (on film) are held at Wolverhampton Archives, but not on line yet anywhere as far as I know.

Unfortunately (although I'm sure that it's a good thing in the long run) the Archives are moving to new premises so, from next week, they will be closed for a couple of months to do the move to the Molyneux Hotel.

They don't let me use a camera at Wolverhampton so the only details I have for that cemetery are for my family and family names known to be associated with them (no Hartills or Towns, I'm afraid.  Many of the St Leonard's and Swan Bank register entries seem to be on FREEREG and/or the Wolverhampton Archives online pages.

Thankyou dudleywinchurch for your reply. Do you think then based on where they lived that the main Bilston Cemetery would be the most likely cemetery that they would have been buried in?

Not a definitive reply but from my own reading around, I think that after two cholera epidemics in 1832 and 1849, the church cemeteries there were mostly full, even after extensions, so that, unless you already had a family grave/vault in one then you were most likely to be buried in the main Bilston Cemetery.

If you have specific dates of death then Wolverhampton Bereavement Services can tell you whether they are in Bilston Cemetery.

I just wondered if anyone could help me with a query regarding the burial of those (approx. 741 / 742 people) who died in the 1832 cholera epidemic in Bilston, please?
I have viewed the list of 600 + names, transcribed by Wolverhampton archives. I know that there is a plaque dedicated to the cholera victims in Bilston, as many were buried in mass graves. However, I read in a separate article that about 40 + victims of the 1832 epidemic were buried at nearby Coseley. Does anyone know if there is known list of names of these 40 + people, please?

Here is a list of Christ Church Coseley burials for 1832.  I assume those with (Ch.) after their name are the cholera victims, but I could be wrong.
