MARMONT/MARMENT/HALL 1800s BACK
« on: Wednesday 02 February 05 07:38 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

My 4xGreat-Grandparents were John MARMENT & Elizabeth HALL.

Their son, William MARMONT (my 3x-Great-Grandfather) was born in 1805c, Bisley, GLS.
William was transported to Australia as a convict in 1824.

This is a new research for me - I would be happy to hear from anyone researching the names MARMONT & HALL.

The MARMONT name seems very common in the Kings Stanley area from 1566c.

Thank you,

Regards,

Christine

Christine,

I have very good records of Bisley and Kings Stanley.

There are no Marmonts (however spelt) extracted or submitted in the IGI in Bisley and I note that the LDS, have only filmed the Eastcombe Baptist records of births 1797 to 1824 which will make it difficult for you to verify anything from there.

However, should you want anything from K.S. between about 1650 and 1800. contact me by P.M.

Regards

Chas
