No I don't think we have. We do have 1861 and 1891 for Elias and Alice.

I have just received the Death Certificates From my cousin Peter for the Three deaths in East Malling. William and Susan were man and wife.  Looks like we have the parents of the brothers. Just need to find more on William and Susan. They must be on the census somewhere. Surely they didn't miss both the 1841 and 1851

William HEDGES Died East Malling 13 Sept 1854 aged 73 Laborer of Fever 4 days Inflammation of lungs 3 days James HEDGES present at death

Susan HEDGES Died East Malling 22 Sept 1854 aged 80 Wife of William HEDGES of Typhus Fever 6 days Eliza Hedges Present at death.

Thomas HEDGES Died East Malling 25 Sept 1854 aged 1 Son of James HEDGES Laborer died of Cholera 12 hours James HEDGES present at death

I have just been doing a little research  into East Malling. There was a serious outbreak of Cholera in 1854 in East Malling and it looks like my HEDGES were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This page gives an idea of the problem in Kent and East Malling is included.

Yes Deb I believe he is likely to be him. Just need to find more info on this elusive couple William and Susan. There must be more on them somewhere.

Eden Hedges = Henry Smith or John Tickner
mar q 1856
Guildford  Surrey
2a  61

I think it may be John Tickner ..there is a family in 1861,  Eden Tickner age 26 with husband John and children living in Shere ....thjey are still there in 1871 ...lots more children ...although he is an ag lab .... no sign of them moving around  :-\

no sign of Susan yet

That must be Eden. Looks like they Settled Perhaps John Tickner wasn't a traveller. Can you get the details of the family so I can log them all on my tree. Deb
I have no access to Ancestry at the moment but should have in the next few weeks I have ordered an up to date version of my family Tree program I use. Mine is very old, and will be getting 6 months free access to Ancestry with it.
