The James Wm Hedges in 1841 in prison is actually Hodges ...his has def. got the 'O' and not an 'E' . he is also a victualler.

started looking for Hodges in 1841 ..... there are a LOT of them in Maidstone arrghhhhhhh

Deb have another look at the records only check under Hodges I think there is another one. I remember my Cousin Peter Hedges went to Maidstone archives office recently and mentioned this to me and I'm sure there are 3 HEDGES/HODGES.

Hi Deb thanks for checking James Wm out for me if he is a Victualler and definitely HODGES then he is most likely not one of mine. I was just wondering if he was as they often put HEDGES down wrong. I am pretty sure the William and Joseph are mine though. I am beginning to wonder weather the parents to the brothers are a William and Susannah Fitzjoy that married  1st October 1844. Only problem is the marriage is late compared to the births of the brothers

submitted , but confirms James Hedges = Eliza Jennings .... If we can prove that she is sister to Fanny who married your William...we may be closer still!!!!
