Need Advice on connecting HEDGES brothers #1

The 3 in prison in 1841 (wonder what they did)

James Wm 40 (b 1801)... surely this couldn't be James born 1815.
William 65 (b 1775)... now this could be the father to the brothers?
Joseph 20 (b 1821)... could this be Job born 1821 I have had him referred to as John in the past.

OK doing this thinking aloud stuff again. The 4 brothers. Do you all agree the spread of birth dates seems very wide.

Before Thomas arrived I already thought the large gap between William and Job was odd.
I am thinking there must have been others between these surely. These HEDGES seem to breed like rabbits. My Grandmother Ena HEDGES was one of 14 children. I'm finding it hard to believe there aren't more out there to join these. Anyone else got an opinion on it.

Yes we have this one already, they are there with other family members staying in the front of Hedges cottage in Moss Lane. It is just off Shakespere Road. James HEDGES owned this cottage at the time the Census was taken but didn't live in it. James seems to have been reasonably well off and rented the cottage out whilst he and family members stayed in the grounds.

I'm not sure myself I can only find 1 brother Job HEDGES on the 1851 census the others are all missing.
It could be that they are just not on it or the surname has been spelled wrong. I have had it spelled HIGGIS, HODGES, HEDGER and even AGES.
Deb has done a really good job finding what she has so far.
I guess looking for more information on the latest addition to the family would be good Thomas HEDGES married to Eden BREWER.  I haven't seen the marriage entry for them. They Married on 1 Oct 1820 at Hadlow Kent. I don't know if the original record would give any additional info at all. Might be worth a look. Not sure if it could be found on line though.

 Think you are right Jenny......... must be more than just the 4 brothers

 Seems such a big gap between ages, unless some died   Job is a brother and not son of Thomas

 Will have to try and find more of this family i think
