New to this thread, came across this post while looking at information for Peter Anton Beyers, family story is he was one of the crew who deserted this ship. Find a Grave has a bit of info on him, he moved to Kumara in the South Island and was a gold miner.
He was born 1848 in Tønsberg kommune, Vestfold fylke, Norway.
I don't have any information to validate him jumping ship, the story was passed down through family.
