 Found the family on 1881 census and the birth of Ernest in the birth index vol. 9b in 1881 jan-mar.  Cannot find them after that.  What happened after that? Thank you.

John possibly remarries in 1889 (Free BMD) to Mary Lue Emsley

1891

John Procter 32 yrs innkeeper
Mary wife 30 yrs
Briggs Emsley stepson 4 yrs
Agnes Welch servant 23 yrs general servant b Durham Newcastle
others all born Bradford

if it was really important you would have to get the marriage certificate to check re John
