I assume Wilford Rd should be translated to Welford Road.

Looks like a trip to the Records Office to trace James Thornton and Elizabeth Stretton further back. I have seen two Elizabeth Stretton births on IGI, 1796 and 1797 so I can start with that.

Hi! Our connection is thru Arthur and his wife Elizabeth, their daughter also Elizabeth, is our grandmother. Wonder if anyone has pictures?
