If anybody is looking for MI's in Fraserburgh I can go to the Kirkton cemetry and have a look for you, and also visit local Library and get Census for Fraserburgh and Local area for you.

Hello:

i wonder if you could help me ? i am looking for information on William Wilson born in Fraserburgh
in 1839. If it were possible to get a lead on the names of his parents I'd be most grateful.

Hi Mary, you can get the 1841 census online for Aberdeenshire at http://freecen.rootsweb.com if you type in the name and approx age then it will come up with a list of possibles, i had a quick look for Fraserburgh but there is nobody with that name there but there are a few for the whole of Aberdeenshire, do you have any information on brothers or sisters also did he marry in scotland you might be able to get his marriage certificate online at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and this would give his parents names. I couldnt find anybody on the IGI born Fraserburgh around 1839, but i did find in Peterhead and Ellon area, if you would like I can look up the census for you and see if i can find anybody, I hope this has helped, if you need any more help just let me know. all the best LesleyJ.

Hi Lesley

Just reading your posting regarding Kirton Cemetery.  But it is your list of names which caught my eye.  Especially "Beddie", it is an unusual name, just wondering if you have heard of a Leiws Beddie Ritchie, 1899-1983,  (parents Joseph Ritchie & Mary Ann Mitchell.  Lewis married Agnes (Nancy) Duthie, and lived in Rosehearty.  They had no family.

Also noticed Noble is your list of names.  I too am researching Nobles, my direct line is descended from Gilbert Noble b 1767 & Ann Crawford b 1773.

Regards

Maureen

Hi Maureen thanks for your post My Beddie is called Christian Beddie and she was born in1824 and married an Alexander Lee from Rathen. I am descended from William Noble and Margaret Proctor there son John Noble b 1813 and his son William Gordon Noble died in a fishing accident in 1870 4 miles of Fraserburgh. I will have a good look at my family history research and will see if any of your names come up , I live locally so if you need any help i might be able to find out some information for you all the best with your research LesleyJ

Hi, Lesley

I'm trying to find  ???  Joseph URQUHART, married to Rebecca HUNTER (aka Caroline Hunter). Their children Alexander URQUHART, Jane FRASER nee URQUHART and Rebecca URQUHART died and were buried in Fraserburgh.

Many thanks -  :)

Hi Lesley,
While  MI's in the Kirkton Cemetary may be of interest to me I am definitely interested in Birnie families in or around the Peathill area.
I have posted a message about my family interests in Aberdenshire.
