Hi Annie,
Hello Martha Ann,
I realise it's been quite a while since you visited 'Rootschat' and I'm hoping you can still be contacted through the site.
Your name 'Dairon' has stuck with me and yesterday, I found a grave to members of a Dairon Family in Sighthill Cemetery. I don't think it's the one you were actually searching, but as you said, it's such an unusual name, there can't be that many of them.
The following is the MI from the Dairon stone:
In loving memory of JANET HAMILTON, wife of Edward Dairon who died 24th January 1888 aged 39 years
The above EDWARD DAIRON died 1st January 1914 aged 65 years
Their son JOHN HAMILTON died 3rd April 1878 aged 8 months
ISABELLA LINDSAY MONTGOMERY, wife of the above Edward Dairon died 27th July 1933 aged 83 years
JOHN STRACHAN, beloved husband of Helen Dairon died 18th August 1936 aged 69 yearsI took a 'close-up' photo of the Lair Number at the base of the stone and it's 8.L.179.
I have no idea what this actually means - it might be Section 8, Row L, Grave 179, or Row 8, Section L, Grave 179
