woodcock v birkinshaw

I am researching the Wright family from Silkstone, namely Ellen b1850, mother Ruth, FatherBenjamin. My dilemma is that I have 2 possible ancestor links.
1. Ruth was Ruth Woodcock, mother Enda(1881 census), father G.B Woodcock(1871).

2. There is another avenue that is bringing up Ruth Birkinshaw, mother Edna, father George Birkinshaw.

All records for descendent's of both are the same.Woodcock and Birkinshaw 1800 Rotherham.

Is anyone researching the same? Could G.B Woodcock be George Birkinshaw Woodcock.
Many thanks for any help.Don't know where in Rotherham.

Extraordinary couple! Edna was nearly 30 years older than Mr Woodcock!

Anyway, there aren' many Edna's born Rotherham ca. 1800 so she's likely to be the same person!

This is my guess for the marriage:

Edna Burkinshaw to John Binscliff Woodcock
(He's clearly John B in 1861, and it's J B on the actual 1871 census image)

Also, the fact she remarried might be a good thing in case you have trouble finding her christening: A 1851 marriage cert shows the father's name
