Hi

The abbreviation CH ENG refers to "Church of England"

Thanks Lu, didn't quite write it right.

If I remember the  CH ENG section is on the right hand side. If you have another look at the map it is just past the Servicemans section on right hand side.

Hi Newbe

Nah, nah,  ... wasn't correcting you  ... (you had it right)  :)  ... just seems your "trigger finger" was quicker than mine  and you hit the "post button" slightly ahead of me.    ;D

That's ok Lu.

I have some Lewis Relies buried in that same section there.  It took me a while to find them. It was back in 2005 at Easter when I was visiting Wellington

Hi denysenz

There is mention in PapersPast, of the sudden death of this William ARNOLD (and a short piece also re: outcome of the Coroner's inquest).

http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/paperspast

Both articles in "Evening Post"  -  both under heading of 'Accidents and Fatalities' :

>   3 February 1902      >   4 February 1902

Lots of other 'hits' too for "William ARNOLD" - though I'm not sure they are all the same man ?   (There is one who had a wife "Harriet"  ... but I haven't read through them all to determine who's who).
