Gwen

I have connections to Ann Wharton who married John Pescod in 1848 in All Saints, Newcastle.  Here is what I have on that family from my database.  If you are pursuing this line I'd be interested in corresponding further.

Don

Ann Wharton:
- marriage record found in Newcastle Register Office online.  M; John Pescod in 1848, All Saints Church
- in 1881 census for Tanfield, age 56, b: Tanfield, living with husband and 3 children John, Isabella & Matthew
- in 1891 census for Stanley Tanfield, age 65, widow, head of household living with 2 children Isabella 25 and Matthew 24

-death presumed from FreeBMD's:  Ann Pescod, age 72, died Sep, 1898, Lancester District
Wharton - Durham, Northumberland
Gascoigne - Durham, Northumberland
Wilkinson - Durham
